ERGO WORK
Project description
We were an associate partner in the LLP Centralized projects program, ERASMUS MP, Knowledge Alliances (Joining academia and business for new opportunities in creating ERGOnomic WORKplaces).
The project included:
- Analyzes of existing curricula in the field of ergonomics and universal design in partner countries;
- Analysis of the attitudes, interests and needs of companies regarding employment and the organization of jobs for people with disabilities;
- Modernization and improvement of existing curricula for ergonomics in Slovenia and Poland using 5 special supplementary modules (4 on the specific needs of people with disabilities, 1 on the management of universal design);
- Recommendations for the ergonomics of a multidisciplinary curriculum;
- Establishment of 4 multidisciplinary groups consisting of students, professors and company staff working together on a specific product, planning a work program and creating a workplace for people with disabilities;
- Implementation of 2 pilot projects in Slovenia for the development of new products and new work programs with new jobs for people with disabilities (within 2 partner and 1 associated partner companies);
- Implementation of 2 pilot projects in Poland for the reorganization of existing jobs in a humane, ergonomic way, adapted to people with disabilities (within 2 partner and 2 non - partner companies;
The long-term goal of the ERGO WORK project, which is in line with Article 27 of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities:
- To lay the foundations for systematic sustainable cooperation between the academy and companies and all other important stakeholders in the field of ergonomics for people with disabilities, in order to encourage reasonable adaptation at work.
